The role
Be part of our high performing, Bank Performance Management team, where no one day is ever the same.
This role will lead performance management and business partnering with the Bank’s Treasury function. You will provide insight and transparency on Treasury’s performance, and report on all Treasury activities. Including Funding, IRM, Liquidity, and Trading activities, and decision support.
What you’ll do
- Develop a strategically aligned budget with a time-horizon of three years as part of the Suncorp planning process in consultation with relevant stakeholders in Treasury
- Develop driver-based forecasting
- Provide reporting and insights on the ongoing performance of the Bank’s Treasury function. Key outcome is the ability to articulate and communicate required action plans to achieve targets, manage trade-offs and optimise funding and liquidity outcomes
- Actively monitor open positions, and understand and communicate in year financial impacts
- Understand, explain and constructively challenge month to date and forecast results
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Business Leaders across the Bank and Group
- Build out and enhance the reporting of Treasury activities
- Support the Executive Manager – Bank Performance Management, the Bank CFO, and Suncorp Bank Leadership Team (SBLT) by leading the innovation and redesign of reporting, enhancement of analytics and decision support
What you’ll bring
- Experience in Treasury Accounting in a Bank
- Experience in management and reporting of financial results within a large Group
- Qualification in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance related field (degree, diploma, or certificate)
- Post Graduate qualification in Accounting such as CPA, ICA and/or CFA (desired)
- Financial Services experience (mandatory)
