Your day as a Senior Advisor
As a key member of our team, your typical duties will involve driving NSW Treasury's stance on financial and policy matters to enhance financial management and outcomes. You will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and reporting on the financial performance and risks of various agencies.
Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you undertake complex research, analysis, and evaluation of data to formulate sound and implementable recommendations. Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.
This role will demand the demonstration of quick, accurate, and complex analysis and problem-solving skills, including the ability to reconcile intricate and conflicting data and communicate clear recommendations to decision-makers.

You will be successful in this role if you meet the below:
- Qualifications in commerce, finance, law, business or related discipline
- Strong background and experience within economics, finance, and/or policy advising.
- Project management skills and experience
- Have excellent communication and negotiation skills dealing with various stakeholders.
- Can clearly convey technical and complex information in different methods.
- Confident engaging with different audiences and comfortable building networks
