The Department

SBS Technology can be thought of as the 'engine room' of SBS. Our primary role is to enable and support the production, distribution, and transmission of content across television, radio, and online platforms. Our teams achieve this by working collaboratively to design innovative solutions and deliver end-to-end services for our business stakeholders.

The Role

Support the Future of SBS Operations

Reporting into the Head of Technology Operations you will take the lead in ensuring seamless service delivery across SBS. You'll be the driving force behind efficient Workplace & Property Services, driving outstanding performance and supporting SBS's critical functions.

In this role, you will:

• Lead & Empower: Guide your high-performing team across Infrastructure, Facilities, Projects & Security. Foster a culture of excellence and unlock their full potential.
• Be the Property Guru: Liaise with key stakeholders and navigate property matters with confidence. Ensure cost-effective solutions for all SBS locations.
• Master of Resources: Oversee the Workplace & Property Services budget and financial expenditure. Negotiate key supplier contracts to secure the best deals.
• Always-On Operations: Guarantee 24/7 uptime for amenities, buildings, and essential services across the entire SBS network.
• Risk Management Champion: Proactively identify and mitigate risks to keep SBS operations running smoothly.

But that's not all, you will also:

• Craft a Winning Strategy:  Manage and plan facilities and asset management plan to optimize SBS properties and sustainability
• Support SBS’s Business Continuity:  Be a key leader of Business Continuity Management framework, ensuring swift recovery in case of emergencies.
• SBS Ambassador: Represent SBS as a property owner in negotiations with government agencies and private companies.

Your Qualifications:

• 5+ Years of Expertise: Thrive in either a property & facilities or critical infrastructure setting.
• Broadcast Operations Expert: Possess in-depth knowledge of 24/7 broadcast operations.
• Hands-On Leader: Lead by example and inspire your team with a "can-do" attitude.
• People leader: Experience in running and developing teams
