The Beacon Country Club is seeking a General Manager/ Chef with hospitality and bar experience. Ideally suited to an enthusiastic individual or an energetic couple the position can be tailored to suit.

The Beacon Country Club is at the hub of the Beacon Community, the place that everyone comes together. The spot to socialise, dine, celebrate and enjoy some well-earned downtime.

Beacon is a friendly wheatbelt town only 3hrs from Perth. A small vibrant community that relies mostly on agriculture. The town boasts an enormous sense of community spirit and a variety of clubs and organizations. Football, netball, hockey, lawn bowls, tennis, a gun club, golf and theatre arts. With a Primary School, Grocery store, Hardware store, Recreation centre, Gymnasium & tourist information centre. Beacon has a relaxed lifestyle only a small country town can offer, with wildflowers, nature reserves and granite outcrops right on its doorstep.

The Beacon Country Club is open 7 days a week offering meals 3 nights per week from our commercial, open plan bistro kitchen. Working a 5 day rostered week the manager would be responsible for overseeing all operations of the Country Club including delivering Australian Pub style meals 3 evenings. 

Ideal candidates with necessary experience and skills are highly sought after. An attractive renumeration package is available, along with a subsidised 4 bedroom partially furnished modern home with a huge back yard & shed.

Our successful candidate/s will.

• Have hospitality management and bar experience.
• Deliver exceptional Customer Service.
• Ideally have a passion for food and experience with chef/cooking, preparation, handling & service.
• Be able to lead, train and motivate a small team.
• Be self-motivated and have outstanding time management skills and a “hands on” attitude. 
• Have experience with stock control, invoicing & margins.
• Display excellent communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal. 
• Be responsible for day-to-day banking tasks and cash handling.
• Be computer literate and develop and circulate staff rosters and weekly menus.
• Hold current RSA and Approved Manager Certificates.
• Implement and organise security procedures, i.e. opening and closing of venue. 
• Be responsible for compliance with all licensing laws and statutory legislative requirements. 
• Be able to work a rostered 5-day week.
