About Us
This business based in Hastings has been around 30 + years who manufacture, supply and deliver a variety of concrete products around Victoria i.e.: pavers, water tanks, rural products i.e.: stock troughs, cattle ramps or grids, feed bins, pipes and end walls.
Reporting to a board, you will be involved in the overall strategic development and operational strategies of the business while leading a staff of approx. 9 people to to drive profitable sales.
It's going to be an incredibly busy but exciting role where no two days will be the same and you enjoy dealing with staff and understand key financials to ensure the business reaches targets.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Lead strategic expansion efforts by developing and diversifying our network around Hastings and local suburbs.
- Drive growth initiatives and cultivate partnerships to leverage opportunities in the construction and manufacturing sectors.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Manage profit and loss responsibilities, analyse financial metrics, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to the rural and building industry and customers, ensuring confidence in our product quality and applications.
- Collaborate closely with the board to establish strategic direction and align expansion efforts with company objectives.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the sales team, promoting collaboration and striving for excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Established success in spearheading strategic expansion and business development within the construction or manufacturing sectors.
- Robust financial acumen encompassing profit and loss (P/L) management, revenue growth acceleration, and cost efficiency maintenance.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities focused on fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within teams.
- Proficient in analysing market trends, identifying opportunities, and devising effective sales strategies to capitalise on market potentials.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills adept at cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including the rural and building industry, customers, and the board.
- Proactive approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring product quality.
