About the Role

The MED plays a pivotal role in the day to day safe and efficient operation of our vessels. This role is responsible for all mechanical equipment, as well as pre-starts, shut downs, and daily maintenance.

As this position is based in Darwin, to meet roster requirements the successful candidate will have to be based locally or be willing to relocate to Darwin. Ideally, the successful candidate will also be a Master, less than 24m NC.

Permanent and casual positions are available.

About You

We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and proven leadership skills to join our marine crew. These attributes will be complemented by experience and skills in the following areas:

  • Proven track record of excellent customer service
  • Effective communication skills
  • Solid mechanical background
  • Knowledge of safety and maritime obligations
  • Senior First Aid and Resuscitation Qualification
  • Drivers Licence
  • Physical fitness and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines is paramount in this role
  • Experience in the tourism industry will be well regarded.
