Yachtsmen International is a full-service yachting company that specialises in selling, refitting, chartering, and crewing luxury motor yachts from 20-60 metres in all locations in Australia and overseas.
Duties will include the following:
- Experienced Marine Engineer with a MED 3 or higher; favourable or equivalent demonstrated work experience
- High level of knowledge of Marine Engineering and vessel systems
- Undertake mechanical repairs and refurbishment as required.
- Identify and diagnose mechanical and maintenance issues & recommend repairs.
- Conduct regular planned mechanical maintenance systems checks.
- Adhere to all OHS Policies & Procedures at all times to ensure safety is not compromised.
- Positively contribute to the workplace culture and actively engage.
- Well-spoken and presented with a focus on customer service.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Answering to the Service & Refit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for
- Performing daily engine and machinery checks
- Create target works lists
- Maintenance and inspections as per the company’s planned maintenance system
- Diagnosing system and machinery issues/faults when they occur
- Accurately maintain engineering logs and records
- Work autonomously to complete assigned tasks within set time frames
- Scope tasks for estimated works
- Work as part of the Service and Refit team to complete tasks on time and in-budget.
Annual Salary:
- Salary - $ Dependant on experience. 45-hour week.
