We're looking to expand our team to include an Apprentice Marine Technician to develop the skills to be mentored by our qualified Technicians.
Are you mechanically minded and have a passion for boats? Have you ever pulled apart an engine just to put it back together again, or spend hours tinkering on your own car and/or boat in your garage at home? If you answered yes, then we want you!
Undertaking this three to four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Marine Mechanic and earn your Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparation of clients goods for handover
- Repairing and maintenance on vessels, trailers and outboard, stern-drive and inboard motors
- Tuning and diagnosing engines using electronic equipment
- Fitting new accessories and motors
- Diagnosing, repairing and replacing engine management/fuel injection and electric components
- Repairing/replacing faulty parts by removing assemblies such as inboard and outboard engines, props, prop shafts and transmissions
- Testing and repairing electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation and other boat and watercraft systems
- Reassembling, testing, cleaning and adjusting repaired or replaced parts or assemblies
- Using scan tools and computers to identify electronic faults and ensure repaired or replaced components are operating correctly

Preferred
- A current learners permit or license
- A current boat license or the ability to acquire one
