About the Role
Responsibilities include:
- Undertake a range of administrative tasks and records management, in a high-volume setting, to support the operational requirements of the unit.
- Respond to inquiries emanating from within, and external, to the unit in a courteous manner and within appropriate timelines.
- Liaise with officers at all levels of the department, other government agencies, educational institutions and organisations, the private sector and community representatives.
- Produce regular reports on behalf of the unit to assist in the management of executive records.
- Maintain internal registers and databases utilising a range of commercial software systems including Content Manager and Microsoft Office applications.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of procedures, systems and standards by providing formal and informal feedback on implementation issues and quality assurance processes.
- Assist in the preparation of responses to sensitive and confidential correspondence directed to the Minister and Director-General and process correspondence providing a high level of service and a continuous flow of work in line with departmental standards.
