An opening has arisen for an Printers Assistant for Night Shift. Hours are 5 days, Sunday night to Thursday night 10:30pm to 6:30am.

About the role:
Reporting to the Print & Pre-Press Manager, you'll be working alongside the Lead Offset Printer on new product development in Security printing; alongside the finishing print. Providing assistance preparing files across digital, offset & screen lines. Other key aspects include:
- Print runs for coordinated customer projects.
- Catching output from the end of machine
- Preparing cards for packaging.
- Count and reconcile output against work orders to verify the correct number and allocation of products;
- Identify errors, make corrections and consult/escalate issues as required.
Requirements:
- Previous in a similar role as well as exposure to card/plastic manufacturing of interest.
- Previous experience operating or assisting in one or more print machines an advantage as well as previous experience within a card/ plastic manufacturing / print production environment;
- Print experience highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask to meet production goals
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to ensure efficient production workflows
- Komori, Screen, Lithographic print exposure (any relevant trade qualifications of interest).
- UV sheetfed Komori essential
- Ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
- Maintain daily production schedules.
- Mechanical aptitude & low level leadership .
- Maintain daily production logs for print jobs.
- Printing on plastics a bonus.
Police check is essential.
