As part of this journey, Novartis has a newly created role of Senior / Market Access Manager joining our Value and Access function.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Market Access Manager, your primary role will be to develop and implement Market Access strategies to support the reimbursement and access of Novartis innovations at both the Federal and State levels. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing comprehensive lifecycle Market Access strategies, starting from the pipeline stage and continuing through to reimbursement.
- Creating high-quality and innovative Market Access dossiers that optimize value and accelerate the reimbursed access of Novartis medicines.
- Providing oversight and guidance to external vendors in the development of PBAC/MSAC dossiers, including clinical and economic analyses.
- Leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with key internal stakeholders such as medical, regulatory, public affairs, patient engagement, communications, and commercial teams.
- Working with global and regional teams to enhance our value proposition through data generation, optimal statistical analyses, and economic model development.
- Developing external engagement strategies in partnership with cross-functional partners to optimize our value proposition and expedite time to reimbursement.
- Engaging externally with the Department of Health and PBAC stakeholders as necessary.
- Participating in Medicines Australia working groups when appropriate.
- Conducting regular competitor and environmental assessments to stay informed about the evolving access landscape in Australia.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Market Access or a related field.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership skills, with the ability to influence individuals at all levels of leadership.
- A solid background in project management, including experience leading agile teams, and excellent communication skills.
- Expertise in synthesising and storytelling clinical and economic data at a high level.
- Experience in making submissions to HTA bodies, encompassing both cost minimization and cost-effectiveness.
- Familiarity with multiple therapeutic areas.
- Knowledge of key concepts and practices in evidence-based practice and economic analysis.
