Where you’ll be working 
The Workforce Planning and Talent Development Branch (WPTD) is a part of the People, Culture and Governance Division of the NSW Ministry of Health, and is responsible for planning, developing, facilitating, and evaluating workforce, culture and talent strategies across the NSW health system, to improve health outcomes for the people of NSW. In collaboration with national and state agencies and other stakeholders, WPTD aims to establish a clear picture of the health workforce now and into the future to improve workforce supply and distribution.

About the Role 
The Market Analyst role is responsible for undertaking high-quality market research to develop evidence-informed insights on the medical and healthcare recruitment market in Australia and other comparable countries, including locums. These insights will inform sustainable locum reform initiatives, particularly in relation to medical locums.
 
The role will report to the Associate Director, Business development and provide analysis and insights to inform considerations on the merits of inhouse management of medical locums and other health workforce strategies as needed, throughout NSW Health. 
 
The Market Analyst role will also support the delivery of better outcomes through improved medical and healthcare recruitment performance across NSW Health.
