The purpose of the role is to manage the team of Security Officers in a designated area, ensuring relief breaks and staff rotations occur in a timely manner. The major focus is to control access to the Gaming Floor by refusing entry to minors, intoxicated persons and those who do not meet the dress code, while delivering an exceptional customer service experience to all patrons.
Trader Engagement

• Creating positive working relationships with market traders and client representatives
• Enforcing standard operating procedures and ensuring trader compliance

Compliance

• Supporting third party drug and alcohol testing
• Oversee issuing of traffic infringement notices including speeding fines
• Ensuring all team members have strong detailed knowledge of standard operating and emergency procedures and communicating expectations to stakeholders as required
• Ensuring all team members behave professionally at all times and are well presented

Stakeholder Liaison

• Ensuring professional engagement with all stakeholders including members of the public
• Ensuring team members respond professionally to queries or complaints as required

Incident Management and Reporting

• Lead the provision of timely, accurate and comprehensive incident reports
• Lead the timely and detailed completion of logs
• Ensure accurate Hazard reporting via online systems
• Oversee delivery of thorough patrols and identification/reporting of security and safety risks

Staff Management and Engagement

• Responsible for managing staff conduct, performance and attendance
• Responsible for ensuring all team members are fully trained in market operations and procedures, including emergency response
• Ensuring staff rosters are filled and amended as required to ensure full coverage of roles

General

• Escalation of issues to the appropriate manager as required
• Any other task as reasonably directed by a Supervisor or manager
