Role Overview:

As a Public Relations Professionals, you will play a crucial role in promoting Osan Ability's NDIS services and aged care initiatives. You will be responsible for developing strategic communication campaigns, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, and enhancing our brand reputation

The Role:

The primary function of the role is to manage the Media and Communications strategy across the company, which is to promote Osan Ability’s ethos internally and externally via traditional and social media platforms. As a Public Relations Professionals you will be responsible for the planning, developing, implementing and evaluating information and communication strategies that create an understanding and a favorable view of the organization and its role in the community.

Osan Ability, a leading NDIS Provider and aged care service provider, is seeking a talented Public Relations Professionals to join our dynamic team.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to effectively communicate the organization's goals and achievements.
  • Provide strategic counsel to executives on the public relations implications of their policies, programs, and practices, ensuring alignment with organizational values and objectives.
  • Prepare and control the issuance of news and press releases to ensure accurate and timely communication of organizational updates and initiatives.
  • Create compelling written content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media posts, to communicate key messages and engage with target audiences.
  • Manage the organization's social media accounts, including content creation, community management, and engagement with followers.
  • Coordinate and support media events, press conferences, and other promotional activities to showcase NDIS success stories and milestones.
  • Organize special events, seminars, entertainment, competitions, and social functions to promote goodwill and favorable publicity.
  • Organizing community events, workshops, and forums to foster dialogue, raise awareness, and gather feedback on NDIS services and supports.
  • Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets, managing resources, logistics, and timelines to ensure successful event execution within established parameters.
  • Implement marketing and promotion strategies to raise awareness and generate attendance for events, utilizing various channels such as social media, email newsletters, websites, and community outreach.
  • Leveraging digital platforms and social media channels to disseminate information, engage with stakeholders, and promote NDIS initiatives. PR professionals may create multimedia content, manage online communities, and monitor social media conversations to address inquiries and concerns in real-time.
  • Represent the organization and arrange executive interviews with publicity media.
  • Attend business, social, and other functions to promote the organization.
  • Provide strategic counsel to executives on the public relations implications of their policies, programs, and practices, ensuring alignment with organizational values and objectives.
  • Monitor media coverage and social media channels and respond promptly to inquiries and comments to maintain a positive brand reputation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align PR efforts with marketing, fundraising, and advocacy campaigns

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification, and
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Public Relations with proven ability to generate earned media opportunities, or
  •  At least 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create engaging social content catering to the right audience
  • Ability to work under pressure and meat the deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Salary range of $80,000- $90,000 per annum plus superannuation.
