About the role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Market Systems Integration Lead to join our Customer Technology team in a full time and permanent capacity based at our Market Street head office.

This role be responsible for the operational support of the Market Systems Integration services underpinning the billing and metering applications of our distribution network and managing our support partners in the delivery of their services across the CKI group of electrical distribution companies of Powercor, CitiPower & United Energy.

Key to this role is providing leadership and direction to our support partners, meeting our market obligations, ensuring 24x7 operations, and maintaining relationships with vendors and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background working in IT Operations particularly with Integration services and system architecture. In addition this candidate will have excellent analytical & troubleshooting skills, well developed written and verbal communication skills and, highly developed stakeholder management/relationship building skills.

What you'll deliver:

  • Provide direction to the vendor support team and co-ordinate external personnel to ensure 24x7 operation and support of key company systems
  • Manage external service providers and vendors to respond to actions within agreed service levels
  • Plan and manage software maintenance and upgrades to maintain agreed service levels & appropriate support levels
  • Measure performance, capacity, availability, and usage metrics to ensure established OLA's, SLA's and KPI's are being met and direct support teams to proactively resolve negative trending as required
  • Responsible for configuration management, backup and recovery, security management, and disaster recovery plans are in place and being followed.
  • Manage and coordinate timely resolution of system problems and application incidents with internal and external service providers and vendors.

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • Tertiary qualification in IT or related discipline / or equivalent years of experience
  • Certifications and/or experience in application of ITIL and COBIT IT frameworks advantageous
  • Extensive knowledge of Integration services and system architecture in the Utilities space.
  • Previous experience with Operations Management and project delivery experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operational and support requirements related to a critical system
  • Demonstrated experience working in a hybrid outsourced support model.
