One of our valued clients within the defence industry is looking for an experienced Integration Systems Engineer for the management and successful integration of all external and internal interfaces of their programs.
This is a permanent full time opportunity based in Melbourne.
The candidate must be an Australian citizen and must have a NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
About the Role
- Lead a team of technical engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful integration activities for all programs.
- Chair meetings and organise Interface Control Working Groups to ensure systems interfaces are well defined and managed.
- Perform system engineering activities including requirements gathering, design integration, verification and validation.
- Conduct configuration audits and ensure systems are safe.
- Work with subcontractors and customers to ensure all integration activities are carried out successfully and quality outcomes are delivered to the end customers.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline,Mechanical,Electrical/ Electronics,or Mechatronics.
- Chartered Professional engineer (desirable).
- Extensive experience in Systems Engineering with defence.
- Knowledge of ASDEFCON templates.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, and ability to handle complex situations to negotiate positive outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
- Experience delivering large scale complex programs, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management system (desirable).
