Your new role:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the successful launch of our new armoured vehicle. You will be responsible for overseeing the integration of various subsystems, ensuring they work seamlessly together to meet rigorous performance, safety, and reliability standards. This position requires a deep understanding of Systems Engineering principles, extensive experience in the defence industry, and a strong ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Your primary areas of responsibilities:
- Support the Systems Engineering efforts for the launch of a new armoured vehicle, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing.
- Develop and maintain system architecture, interface control documents, and system specifications.
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Perform risk management and mitigation activities to address potential issues during the development and deployment phases.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide expert guidance on system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Oversee the development and execution of system-level test plans and procedures.
- Ensure all subsystems are integrated and validated according to project timelines and specifications.
- Support the preparation of technical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance guides, and training materials.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
About you
As an ideal candidate you will have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in the defence industry.
- Proven track record in the development and launch of complex systems, particularly armoured vehicles or similar products.
- Strong understanding of Systems Engineering methodologies, including requirements management, system design, integration, and testing.
- Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and other engineering applications relevant to vehicle development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Security clearance or the ability to obtain one is highly desirable.
