STEPS Group is a national not-for-profit organisation who has a focus on empowering people living with disability, their families and carers. This is done through information and knowledge building as well as supports and wellness activities designed to assist clients in achieving their personal goals.
A full time opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer who is innovative and passionate is now available to work with a small but dedicated team of Marketing professionals. This role will be responsible for content generation in the form of media releases, project work and internal and external communications across social media channels, which promote STEPS programs and services across all STEPS entities.
The Position
This role will coordinate, create and publish Marketing and communication content to deliver the Marketing and Communications strategic plans and achieve the business objectives of all STEPS entities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively contribute to content ideas and assist in the coordination, creation and production of Marketing and Communications content, campaigns, and schedules
- Create original content (written, photographic and video) that is aligned with the organisation's Marketing and communication strategies and objectives
- Manage the proofing and editing of content, develop and source creative assets in collaboration with the Design Team and build digital content templates and campaigns
- Social Media management including planning social media content across multiple platforms, developing creative ideas to build engagement, designing social tiles, writing captions, scheduling and community management
- Collaborate with the Design Team to create and deliver effective marketing content and collateral within designated timeframes
The Successful Applicant
- Qualification in Marketing, Communication or related discipline, along with demonstrated experience in development of marketing, promotion and communication content is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering accurate, results-driven content development for web, social media, blogs, press releases, EDM's, and a broad range of marketing material
- Demonstrated ability to undertake research to prepare and write marketing communications, making often complex information more understandable and compelling
- Experience working in Wordpress and Adobe Suite and have photo and video editing skills for social media
- Proven ability to develop effective relationships and networks
