Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable Officer

Our company has grown and developed over 20 years in the coffee manufacturing industry. We are based in the Sunshine Coast, internationally experienced and owned, global in our ambitions but local in our high-touch, boutique approach. We seek a talented individual to join our Finance team as a Credit Controller to support the business's Finance function.

This role will allow you to work in a thriving team while offering you a challenging yet rewarding opportunity. You will be responsible for building and maintaining lasting customer relationships while chasing unpaid debts. The role includes issuing invoices, reconciling debtor statements, daily front-of-house (FOH) cash allocation, monthly debtors reporting, and managing client relationships with key stakholders.

The Credit Controller will work in a small team and be responsible for managing our receivable ledger. This full-time position is office-based in Kunda Park and reports to the finance manager.

Your key responsibilities will include, however, are not limited to:

• Maintaining a ledger of outstanding customer payments and following up for payment via phone and email;
• Build a strong relationship with customers by exercising empathy and understanding;
• Raising and issuing Invoices and Credit notes;
• Allocation of payments daily;
• Effective negotiation of payment plans;
• Maintaining accurate records of all activities;
• Send bad debts to 3rd party collection provider QCAT;
• Prepare legal documentation as required;
• Ensure all debt recovery/ credit management & PPSA legislation is adhered to;
• Initiate Direct Debt payments monthly;
• Demonstrate robust reconciliation and Excel skills
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise with sound attention to detail;
• Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is beneficial but not essential;
• Self-motivated and outcomes-oriented with a passionate 'can do'/adaptable mindset;
