AddressWe are looking for a Principal CommunicationEngagement Officer, this is a temporary full-time positions for 12 months contract, based in Brisbane CBD.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of Queensland’s agricultural sector conference which will take place on February 2025.
As part of this opportunity, the successful candidate will be required to perform the following-
- Manage the life cycle of high-profile events from concept design to planning, delivery and evaluation.
- Provide high-level and quality advice and recommendations to senior management, stakeholders and clients in relation to best practice and strategies for management of events and Engagement activities.
- Defining the purpose, objectives, key messages, KPIs, and desired outcomes of events and Engagement activities, tailoring event concepts accordingly.
- Crafting and managing event-related marketing and communication efforts, including branding, integrated marketing plans, and the creation of promotional content to enhance event awareness and participation.
- Skillfully managing the financial aspects of events, including budget preparation, procurement, and adherence to financial guidelines, ensuring fiscal efficiency and accountability.
- Contributing to strategic program design and speaker management to enrich the overall event experience.
- Cultivating and managing partnerships and sponsorships to amplify event success.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders internally, across government and externally to become a trusted advisor and influence outcomes, to build commitment to long term collaboration and growth.
The Candidate
- Proven experience in delivering major events, demonstrating a track record of successful event management across diverse contexts.
- Qualifications in event management or a related field would be advantageous, although practical experience will also be highly valued.
- A proactive and innovative approach, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, coupled with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
