About the Role
The Marketing and Communications Officer plays a pivotal role in the organisation, with a creative and fast-paced position, working to drive the Y’s vision and mission. In this role, you will work directly with the Brand and Youth Voice Senior Manager to deliver quality communication content, build strong engagement and drive brand awareness. You will support our broader Y team in content creation and marketing collateral.
Responsibilities include implementing Marketing and communication activities, ensuring impactful brand messaging, designing multi-channel marketing campaigns, driving community engagement activities, and researching and creating proactive media engagement.
This role is for someone who is proactive and organised with strong communication skills, good attention to detail, and a deep understanding of marketing principles to drive community engagement, enhance brand awareness and contribute to the overall success of the Y Canberra Region’s brand initiatives.
What You Will Need for the Role
- Degree in Marketing, Communications or similar
- Experience in Marketing and Communications
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate closely with team members to support key objectives
- Experience working on multi-channel digital and social media platforms, including reporting and analytics
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite abilities
- Experience in integrated digital marketing (WordPress, Google Ads and Analytics)
- Keen eye for detail, with the ability to create briefs and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Please note the appointment of this position is subject to passing a Working with Vulnerable People Check and a National Police Check
