Qualifications & experience
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) – preferred but not essential
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid/CPR Certificate
- Working with Children's Check
- Reliable vehicle and Insurance
- Sound computer, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adhere to participant support plans and complete documentation
- Industry experience highly regarded
Tasks & responsibilities
- Offering physical assistance to participants, such as assistance with personal care and domestic activities.
- Support participants to access activities and outings in the community.
- Encourge participants to live their lives more independently and support them by providing both physical and emotional support.
- Ability to assist in preparing and cooking meals, if required.
- Display a can-do attitude and be an active member of the team.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of the participants and report any concerns to the Manager.
- Documenting and progress note keeping.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and proactively contribute to maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Work in accordance with the participant right’s policies including privacy and confidentiality.
