About the OrganisationDymocks Children’s Charities is an independent Australian organisation that provides literacy programs to underprivileged children nationwide. Established in 2000, they've supported over 500,000 children to date.
Despite progress, 1 in 5 Australian students struggle with basic reading. In 2023, they’ve supplied over $1.4 million worth of books to 70,000+ children in 200+ locations.The RoleThis is your chance to shine! As our Marketing & Communications Officer, you'll be at the forefront of raising awareness, engaging audiences, and driving digital fundraising initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Crafting compelling content and executing digital campaigns
• Designing print/media materials and POS campaigns for 50 of Dymocks stores across Australia
• Coordinating in-store and corporate fundraising efforts
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Creative involvement in website design and management
• Partake in the organisation of events including the yearly Great Debate Gala dinner and Readers festival
• Providing design support and technical advice for social media and fundraising strategies
• Managing EDM campaigns and maintaining our online presence

The Successful Applicant
We're seeking someone with:

• Proficiency in content creation and copywriting
• Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, and Microsoft Office suite
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
• A genuine passion for social justice and helping disadvantaged children
• A positive, can-do attitude and a collaborative spirit
