Job description

Overview

The Queensland Skin and Cancer Foundation is seeking a Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator (Part-Time). The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to coordinate, plan, and execute various Marketing and Fundraising activities to raise awareness and funds for the Foundation. This 2-3 day a week part-time position is suitable for an experienced marketer or fundraiser.  As a not-for-profit organisation you also have the option of receiving up to $15,900 of your income tax-free. 

The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide strategic marketing advice across all QSCF activities. 
  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy that enables QSCF to offer more to the QLD community.
  • Lead the development (and maintenance) of marketing materials for the business areas (philanthropic donations, gifts in wills, fundraising events, and corporate engagement programs) 
  • Develop an annual Marketing and Fundraising strategy to maximise income from fundraising and fundraisers.
  • Identify potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donors and community events.
  • Develop and implement a marketing calendar detailing QSCF activity across all channels. 
  • Develop strategies to engage new donors and expand donor base.
  • Undertake detailed analysis of marketing programs and activities to provide strategic input unto the business decisions.
  • Work closely with the CEO and the Education and Partnerships Manager to improve processes, increase awareness, and develop external communications strategies.

About you: 

  • You will have three years’ minimum experience in a similar role, preferably in a philanthropic / fundraising environment.
  • You will have tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in Marketing and communications.
  • Experience fundraising or confidence to learn.
  • Broad knowledge of marketing concepts and trends with a keen eye for developing digital communication channels. 
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering successful brand and marketing strategies to achieve the business objectives of an organisation.
  • Proficiency in managing brand assets, digital asset management systems and digital platforms.
  • Experience working with professionals in a service delivery environment.
