About Canberra Repertory Society (Canberra REP)
Canberra REP stages six major productions each year and provides Canberra theatre-goers high quality and varied works. REP offers opportunities for people to extend their interest in theatre and to develop their skills through participation in all aspects of theatre production and workshops. REP also aims to offer members a wide range of social activities with people who share their interest in theatre.

Role Description:
The Marketing Assistant is responsible for implementing Canberra REP’s marketing strategy to support the company’s goals of growing audiences, increasing revenue, building membership and member participation, and building a volunteer base. The Marketing Assistant will deliver, evaluate, and report on high quality marketing and communication activities.
Duties:
The Marketing Assistant will work and collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Liaison Council Member and the Business Manager to implement REP’s marketing strategy. Main duties will include:

Delivering communication and marketing activities to promote REP’s productions, activities, events and reputation.

Writing and developing content for a variety of channels including media, social media, advertising, printed collateral, web.
•
Coordinating and delivering marketing and communication activities, including e-newsletters, social media, web updates and printed collateral.
•
Supporting the redevelopment of REP’s website to ensure marketing needs are considered.
•
Ensuring communication products are consistent and meet REP’s visual identity and style guide.
•
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, including media, creative and production teams, creative service providers, sponsors.
•
Evaluating and reporting on marketing and communication activities, providing insights and recommendations on performance and activities.
As part of a small management team other duties may include assisting with ad hoc administrative work.
Qualification and Education Requirement:
Marketing qualifications or equivalent experience required.

Communication skills
Adaptability
Creative skills, including writing, design and photography
Advanced IT skills, including creative software to design visual content
The ability to analyse feedback and spot and report on trends
