- Develop and implement communication, content, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Create audience and channel-appropriate, accessible content that adheres to the Australian Government Style Manual. This can include website and intranet copy, emails, talking points and speeches, presentations, and instructional content.
- Manage existing channels or use your judgement, experience, and insights to establish new channels.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to generate content that is accurate and meets business objectives.
- Guide and support junior team members. This may include task allocation or direct supervision.
- Complete administrative tasks as needed, including management of group mailboxes and calendars, document preparation and formatting, template management, and tracking workflows.
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in communication or content creation.
- Qualification in communication, journalism, or multimedia production is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated success in developing and delivering communications strategies.
- Demonstrated writing and editing skills, with a solid understanding of accessibility and Plain English principles.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud and Camtasia (or similar) to produce multimedia content is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to decipher tech jargon, or experience in an ICT environment, is desirable but not essential.
