The Science Teachers Association of NSW is a dynamic community of science educators, inspiring future scientists and citizens. We have a small team of staff who are friendly, passionate and work collaboratively to advance the teaching and learning of science across NSW.
We are looking to expand our team with a new Marketing & Communications specialist, who will grow the organisation’s reputation and membership base.

In this role you will:
- Develop marketing strategies that will deliver the organisation’s growth targets
- Create and deliver promotional and communication campaigns for events and professional learning projects
- Manage the production of the Science Teachers’ Association publications
- Provide strategic communications advice and planning across the organisation’s initiatives
- Manage and write content across all marketing channels, including the website, social media, EDMs and media relations
- Grow sponsorship and partnership income by sourcing new relationships to support the organisation and its programs
Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a Marketing and Communications role
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing techniques and growth principles
- High level written communication skills across various marketing channels
- Demonstrated strengths in email marketing and social media
- High level organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as a collaborative team member
Desirable:
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and marketing / membership software (e.g. CRM)
- Thorough understanding of social media and web analytics
