Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering expedition cruise company, sailing for over four decades. We operate and manage a fleet of three small purpose-built expedition ships, crewed by experts who deliver warm Australian hospitality and enriching travel guidance. Our expeditions take small groups of like-minded explorers to some of the worlds most remote nature-based destinations in regions such as The Kimberley, Outer Great Barrier Reef, Cape York, Tasmania, South Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Indonesia and Japan. Averaging 14 nights, our voyages attract worldly travellers with an average age of 60-65 seeking immersion in nature, culture and heritage of the regions we explore.

The Role
This position is suited to an accomplished marketing professional with management experience and a passion for travel and tourism. You will function as a hands-on Marketing Manager in a fast-paced environment, overseeing a team of four (with potential future team expansion). You will report directly to the Commercial Director and collaborate with the broader Commercial team and Management Council. Specifically, you will be required to:
- Mentor and support a collaborative high-performing team, establishing priorities to reach overall marketing goals.
- Conceptualise and execute multichannel campaigns across the customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging in all channels.
- Review and assist in written, image & video content publishing across multiple platforms including website, social, email and print while following industry best practices for SEO and engagement.
- Develop and manage the annual marketing plan and control spend in line with the budget. Be adaptable in making channel spend decisions based on performance and ROI.
- Using tools such as GA4 and SEMrush to draw insights with the team and make data-lead optimisation decisions to marketing activities.
- Provide input into new product development and coordinate the release of new itineraries, preparing communications for both print and online platforms.
- Assist in the continual improvement and modernisation of our digital ecosystem including website, CRM and booking systems, to improve customer journey touchpoints and commercial objectives.

- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in writing, editing and proofing copy for brand.
- Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, GA4, SEMrush & EDM software.
- Self-driven with a can-do attitude.
