The club is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Northern NSW at the mouth of the Clarence River. Yamba is situated 1.5 hours from Byron Bay and an extra 30 minutes onto the Gold Coast. It has a population of 7,000 and has a good mix of metropolitan and peaceful coastal village lifestyles. It has more than a dozen surf breaks and is surrounded by picturesque National Parks.

THE ROLE WILL BE MANAGING KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING;
- Boosting visitation and sales through various business interests including food and beverage, entertainment, accommodation, leisure and sporting activities and more
- Elevating membership through effective strategies for awareness, promotion and retention
- Developing and implementing a strong Marketing plan that incorporates activities and promotions for several known target markets
- Using cross-marketing approaches to achieve organisational objectives
- Developing and implementing the club’s internal/external communications strategies across various media
- Managing the Clubs public relations efforts to ensure consistency with the club’s objects
- Developing and implementing a cost-effective marketing budget in consultation with the CEO and assistant CEO
- Be actively involved in managing the Club’s sponsorship arrangements
- Use various resources to monitor emerging trends and use this knowledge to assist the club to make sound strategic planning decisions
- Adhere to the various laws and regulations governing registered Clubs
- Taking an active role in strategic planning and club developments and construction
ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
The successful person will be expected to assist the current team and lead all aspects of the marketing function within the club. An important aspect of the role will be to drive business and people performance through inspiring and directing the Supervisors and staff. The successful person will come with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written as well as the ability to lead through a nurturing, positive and cooperative team culture.
The Marketing Manager will understand the value of the development and adherence to a comprehensive list of policies and procedures to achieve the consistency of the Club’s high standards. They will be confident with driving efficiencies through current and relevant technology.
The Marketing Manager will have a comprehensive understanding of the principles of Marketing. You will have tertiary qualifications in Marketing and knowledge and experience in a Hospitality environment would be welcomed but not necessary.
