Marketing Manager,
Surgical Ophthalmology is responsible for translating global Ophthalmic Surgical business segment strategies into local sales tactics & marketing activities. Working with a strong group of Sales and Business Development Managers, the role is responsible for establishing market awareness and acceptance of ZEISS technologies with a primary goal of sustainable lead generation. A focus on customer growth is central to success, while maintaining ZEISS brand attributes.The successful candidate will have outstanding strategic commercial experience and formal marketing skills, ideally within a specialist surgical discipline.The key responsibilities for this position includes (but not limited to):
- Recommend which markets to compete in (where to compete)
- What the basis of ZEISS’s competitive advantage is going to be (how to compete)
- When and how ZEISS may enter each market, including new segments (when to compete) in order to ensure best competitive position for ZEISS and the efficient use of marketing resources
- Sustained lead generation within targeted market segments
- Report state of sales funnel, market development, market opportunities, threats and risks
The key skills required for this role include:- Four year university degree in business, healthcare or marketing
- Minimum 5 years of successful sales/marketing experience preferably within the surgical industry
- Proven successful KOL management experience
- Excellent team building, teaching and motivation skills are required
- Exceptional negotiating and diplomacy skills within a professional environment
- Ability to develop and make corporate level presentations
- Compelling written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced planning & organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks & adapt to change
