Marketing (70% communication, sales, brand) and Project assistant (30% client facing, assist the director)
Part-Time (0.6 – 0.8 FTE) can evolve to full time.

We are seeking a Marketing & Project assistant with some technical skills to join Mathieu on a mission to promote Mathieu Builder, Hempcrete Australia, and LaBaraque (eco cabin)
Situated in the heart of coastal Mornington Peninsula, you will work 3-4 days per week (including 2 Saturdays per month) at the office (in a beautiful sustainably built cabin !). You will play an important role in helping us drive the success of our marketing and communication initiatives geared towards building a brand and increasing a flow of leads leading to further sales and heightened visibility across the building industry.

LaBaraque is a small business enterprise which at his very essence, values sustainable living. Mathieu is a registered builder, building designer and consultant, and a leader in hempcrete in Australia. Mathieu’s vision is to create and promote ethically sustainable housing through his holistic approach to design and construction. With Mathieu’s European background in design, and his knowledge of creating insulated wall systems using hempcrete, his designs lead the way in Australia for energy efficiency ratings.
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Formal qualification (Diploma degree minimum) in Marketing/Communications, Business Administration, Graphic Design, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing or related field
- Experience in performance marketing including creating videos, reels, advertisements, Google Ads and Meta campaigns
-Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices
-Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Clients (prospects) facing
- Openness to receiving input from others, coupled with a collaborative and team oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for details and design
- Willingness to acquire product knowledge in the building industry, including hempcrete, insulation, and sustainable living.
- Willingness to network in building related fields and pursue growth opportunities as seen fit.

Job Description:
As in charge of all the Marketing across the 3 brands and support the director, you will be an integral member of this dynamic partnership, working alongside Mathieu Builder in achieving critical marketing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the company website’s overall look and feel to ensure it reflects our ethically focussed brand identity and effectively captures leads.
- Creating the brands logo, colours and baseline to reflect the ethically focussed mission statement of the company.
- Creating and executing Google Ads and Meta campaigns and optimising their performance.
- Contributing to the development and execution of weekly email campaigns, targeting optimal audiences.
- Implementing SEO strategies, writing content and optimising keywords to improve website visibility and drive lead generation.
- Assisting in researching and making submissions for public speaking at eco-build and sustainability events/festivals. Organising article submissions in builder/eco magazines/journals.
- Organising paid in-house workshops offering skills in basic carpentry, hempcrete, house design…
- Organising open days for finished projects and open job sites.
- Receptionist tasks as required including answering phone calls, responding to enquiries, meeting and greeting customers on site
- Provide quotations on simple orders/requests.
- Establishing relationships and ongoing communications with clientele, customers, and the local/wider community.
