This is a 12 month fixed term role
About the role
You’ll support and assist in managing the development and implementation of energy efficiency improvements projects with the aim to reduce our ongoing cost of doing business, emissions and business resilience.
Other ways you can make an impact include:
- Managing contracts and any variations to them
- Supervising projects, tracking costs and following up with suppliers
- Identifying risks and opportunities
- Communicating scope, impacts and program timelines to all internal and external stakeholders
Performing on-site contractor safety audits to ensure compliance with WHS procedures
About you and your skills
- Tertiary or trade qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or Construction preferred
- Strong interest in critical environmental sustainability topics, including climate change, energy and emissions in Australia
- A genuine interest and technical knowledge of energy, renewables or sustainable and efficient building services in a retail and industrial environment - refrigeration, HVAC, automation and control, electrical, solar PV
- A couple years’ experience in project and stakeholder management
- The confidence to influence and negotiate towards achieving positive outcomes
- An understanding of how risks and issues impact a project and the ability to work with others to manage them
- A natural flair for being able to communicate with a large variety of internal and external stakeholders
- A successful track record developing and delivering ongoing efficiencies to overall business profitability
