Marketing Science Lead
- 6-Month Secondment role
- Location Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane
- Develop, maintain and evolve marketing performance insights using expertise in marketing econometrics and other analysis tool
- Responsible for working with & directing the Marketing Science Analysts in developing models and tools, identifying and creating models to help understand, monitor, and predict marketing outcomes. These tools and insights will be used (but not be limited to) key marketing decision making such as:
- Marketing investment alignment & optimisation
- Channel and media mix investment decisions & regular optimisation
- Interpret the impact of marketing activity on demand generation & sales
- Budget forecasting (including impacts of reductions & increases)
- Analysis of competitor activity & external factors on business outcomes
- Be the key the key conduit from the Marketing Science team to work closely with marketing teams to help them understand the impact of decisions on potential results and to generate unique insights into campaign performance
- Oversight of the Marketing Science Analysts in the collection, maintenance and processes to improve data collection, interpretation and presentation
- Support the Manager, Marketing Science in maintenance and improvement of team process and governance
- Work closely with the Marketing Science Operations Lead, as the subject matter expert, on the discovery, scoping and delivery of scaling all agreed Marketing Science tools and platforms
- Establish strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and agencies identifying shared goals, removing blockages and enabling collaboration.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and act as an advocate for Marketing Science practices
- Bachelor's degree a Quantified Field - such as Mathematics, Statistics, Science (Mandatory)
- Prior experience in a data science/analytics capacity, digital agency or technology-related role in an operations capacity will be highly regarded
- Experience working with business technology, data, finance and analytics teams
- Demonstrated experience in delivering marketing effectiveness and efficiency gains (advantageous)
- Graduate in marketing or computer science
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience using data mining tools
- Passion for data interpretation and optimisation
- Experience with relational databases and analysing large quantities of marketing data
- Exposure to Dashboard development desired
- Experience in directing team members on work prioritisation
- Team player, creative and passionate
- Ability to multi-task while demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and organization
- Strong presentation and excellent communication skills
- Comfort dealing with large amounts of data on a regular basis
- Outstanding communication skills
- Comfort with numbers, evidence of using and applying data to aid decision making and analysis
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast-changing environment
- Experience with tag management platforms, Excel, APIs, etc. will be highly regarded
