About the Role
The Marketing Specialist is to effectively and efficiently market the business to the Asian market, plus seek new and exciting business opportunities for our operations.
Duties & responsibilities will include:
- Increase direct sales
- Optimise the website for maximum sales opportunities
- Work alongside applicable Asian tourism bodies to successfully market the business
- Develop an annual sales and marketing action plan and budget, covering both consumer & trade activities
- Connect the business to payment platforms, booking agents and social media platforms
- Build relationships with large Asian wholesale agencies
- Manage digital assets including website and social media platforms
- Develop entertaining & informative content, stories and images for social media, newsletters & blogs
- Develop & conduct an Asian-based local, regional and state agents sales call cost-effective plans
- Create innovative marketing strategies & prepare training material such as Powerpoint, promo videos, training videos and marketing collateral
- Participate in tradeshows & sales call missions regional, interstate & international
- Work alongside management to investigate & seek new business, especially in the Asian market
An annual salary of $70,942 will be offered to the successful incumbent.
About You
You will have an enthusiastic attitude, who enjoys being hands-on and strategic, is self-motivated to achieve goals, working in a dynamic & supportive team.
The successful applicant will need the following:
- Relevant Bachelor degree
- 4 years minimum experience in a similar role
- Be fluent in Mandarin
- Able to communicate with the Asian market
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
- Fun & friendly attitude
