About the Role
As a Marketing the City Officer, you will be at the forefront of promoting the local community as the ultimate destination for both business and leisure. Your creativity and strategic acumen will be instrumental in developing and implementing cutting-edge marketing campaigns that captivate audiences both nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop promotional/marketing products, opportunities and partnerships to positively position Bankstown as a City to invest in.
- Coordinate the successful roll-out of the City brand to ensure the brand guideline is followed, delivered, and encourages business support and use of it.
- Ensure maximum impact and exposure of Bankstown, nationally and internationally, by building strategic alliances and employing marketing initiatives.
- Proactively liaise with Council staff and external organisations responsible for key programs, services and activities to develop opportunities and implement marketing campaigns that encompass the appropriate mix of media, public relations and marketing tools and techniques to present news and information for a positive image.
- Coordinate the production of Council’s Economic Development promotional collateral including, but not limited to, an investment prospectus, economic profiles, business newsletter and maintain the
"Business" section of Council's main website.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience leading the development and implementation of effective marketing and/or business communication strategies
- Publishing and content management skills.
- Experience in destination marketing and economic development communications.
- Website content skills.
- Knowledge of current government policies, structures and processes.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain a network of strategic contacts across a range of local, metropolitan and specialist organisations, associations etc
- Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality collateral.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including using social media as a marketing tool.
- Experience in coordinating sponsorship opportunities and experience with sales and advertising.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience in generating innovative marketing and promotional initiatives that positively raised the profile of a place or organisation
