The GURNER™ Wellness division was born through a deep passion for health and wellness and a profound desire to help people live their most ultimate life. Our luxurious private clubs serve as sanctuaries for both body and mind, inviting members to shed stress, revitalise their energy, forge connections, and ultimately, elevate their wellbeing to unprecedented levels. Our clubs offer community, connection, mindfulness, movement, strength, fitness, recovery, nutrition, and personal care. They combine ancient wisdom and scientific findings to create truly special spaces dedicated to anti-aging, wellness, recovery, and transformation. 

Our first club has been an incredible success. We are now in an exciting growth phase, looking for the next team of champions (PT roles) to shape our brand new South Yarra venue, opening in the coming months!

The Position

We are looking for genuinely passionate individuals with a knack for understanding human energy and delivering impeccable massage therapy treatments. Our Massage Therapists play a vital role in helping our members relax and rejuvenate, which is a critical part of their holistic health plans. They use their communication skills and intuition to understand members' needs and provide treatments that enhance recovery. Whether it’s a gentle touch or a firm massage, our therapists are skilled at curating sessions tailored to individual needs. Like all roles within our club, our therapists are member-focused and passionate about health and well-being, inspiring our members to relax and achieve more through the various modalities we offer.

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Deliver an unforgettable massage experience for our members and guests, understanding their preferences and anticipating their needs
  • Assist with client greeting, check-in, management and general responsibilities as required by the wider team
  • Create innovative and interactive ways to increase satisfaction of members and guests
  • Taking on projects and completing in the timeline specified by the Lead Massage Therapist and Wellness & Recovery Manager 
  • Research and understand the programs that Saint Haven offers
  • Assist Saint Haven team members with any facility-based questions, issues or concerns they might have
  • Develop cohesive working relationships with your teammates and peers

Skills and Competencies

To be successful in this role, we require someone with the following skills and competencies: 

  • You have a Diploma in Remedial Massage, an Advanced Diploma in Remedial Massage or are both a massage and beauty therapist with a strong background in facials.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the massage industry, including but not limited to hotel experience, spa and/or wellness centres.
  • Skilled in various massage techniques; training will be offered within the job especially for the delivery of our signature massages.
  • You are member obsessed! You know what it takes to make someone feel special – you understand that customer service extends beyond answering questions. You seek to curate experiences and anticipate needs.
  • You are willing to learn and stay up to date with the latest in health and wellbeing trends and Saint Haven offerings.
  • You are people focused –genuine, honest and operate with integrity. You thrive on watching your team succeed and develop their skills and experience.
  • You are self-assured, patient, listen intently, speak clearly and eloquently, and are comfortable communicating at all levels.
  • You are driven, perceptive, ask questions and always strive to understand the bigger picture.
  • You must be available to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
