ABOUT THE ROLE

AFLNT are seeking Match Managers to join us for the 2024 BRFL Season! If you are passionate and keen to develop a career in the football industry, this entry level job is the job for you! You will get the chance to work closely with BRFL clubs, spectators, and stakeholders. Initially your role will focus on the cash handling and customer facing aspects of the position, with the chance of moving into more football orientated roles available for the right, enthusiastic candidates.

This casual role is located in Katherine, Northern Territory.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible cash handling and customer service at both venue entry points and canteen
  • Set up and lock down venue for match day
  • General match day operations & duties
  • Ensure clubs are responsible for providing volunteers in specified roles (i.e. timekeepers, umpire escorts)
  • Ensure all reports (Match Manager, Umpires, insurance reports) are collected and forwarded to Competition Lead
  • Manage any issues that may arise

  • Well-developed verbal, written communication, and public relation skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours - predominantly on weekends
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • The ability to quickly establish a rapport with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
  • Conflict Resolution Skills
  • Working With Children accreditation
  • First Aid Qualifications preferred
  • Familiarity with AFLNT Rules and Regulations and League By-Laws preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of relevant policies
  • Cash handling and customer facing experience preferred but not essential
