ABOUT THE ROLE:Mercy Hospital for Women - Maternity Group Practice (MGP) has been providing a continuity of care option for women since 2015.MGP at Mercy Hospital for Women offers you the opportunity to work in a caseload model where you can use your midwifery skills to provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. You will work in supportive multidisciplinary team environment providing evidence-based care in partnership with women and their families. Mercy Hospital Women is about to embark on an exciting new model of care which will see the introduction of homebirth as a choice for women in 2024.We would love to hear from midwives who would be interested in helping to establish and eventually work in an MGP caseload group that facilitates homebirth.

ABOUT YOU:
  • Registered as a Midwife with AHPRA with three years of relevant clinical experience and RANZCOG Level 3 accredited.
  • You are credentialed or working towards the following:
  • homebirth
  • waterbirth
  • perineal suturing
  • discharge examination of the newborn
  • fetal scalp electrode application
  • speculum examination
  • balloon catheter insertion for induction of labour
  • intravenous catheter insertion
  • We would love to hear from midwives who would be interested in helping to establish and eventually work in an MGP caseload group that facilitates homebirth.
  • As part of working in MGP will need driver’s licence and your own car.
