Sacred Heart College is a Catholic, co-educational College for students in Years 7-12 located on the coast in Sorrento, Western Australia. The College has established an outstanding reputation for excellence within our Four Pillars – Spiritual, Academic, Cultural and Sport.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Mathematics Teacher to join our College for term three only. This is a leave replacement position commencing 15 July 2024.
About the role: Reporting to the Head of Mathematics, the successful applicant will be a dedicated Mathematics teacher with the ability to be a dynamic and innovative educator who engages and encourages student learning.
Responsibilities as a Mathematics Teacher:
- The ability to teach Mathematics to Years 7 – 10.
- A willingness to support Mathematics tutoring twice a term would be advantageous.
- The ability to be innovative in current teaching methodologies, keeping up to date with current pedagogical trends in Mathematics.
- The ability to work collaboratively to build rapport with students, parents and all College employees to develop respectful, inclusive and positive working relationships.
What we are seeking:
- Highly skilled and competent in the delivery of Mathematics curriculum.
- Experience in writing and delivering differentiated programs in Mathematics.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong practice and application of contemporary pedagogical practices.
- The ability to promote and support a culture where students can be the best they can be.
- An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College.
