Our client a Global Wholesale Company is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Meat Department Supervisor at there South Eastern warehouse. This challenging position requires a candidate with strong problem-solving skills, diplomatic prowess, and a keen sense of responsibility to oversee the daily operations of our Meat Department. As a Meat Department Supervisor, you'll play a pivotal role in managing personnel, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, and upholding the highest standards of product quality and service.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide the Meat Department team, offering coaching, counseling, and direction to enhance individual and collective performance.
- Analyze departmental profit and loss statements, contribute to sales and merchandising planning, and play a vital role in the financial success of the department.
- Evaluate production requirements, actively engage in meat cutting activities, and oversee merchandise presentation and display strategies.
- Monitor sanitation logs for health code compliance and ensure the consistent application of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Approve and submit periodic physical inventory and purchase orders to the buying office for equipment, merchandise, and supplies.
- Uphold compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), food safety certification, and safety training.
- Coordinate and execute maintenance and repair plans for machinery and equipment.

- Salary of $105,000 plus super

- Demonstrated experience in meat cutting, supervisory roles, employee relations, or customer service.
- Food Safety Certification, Supervisors Orientation, Hazardous Material Training – Module 1 (within 30 days).
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leadership or supervisory roles, preferably within a warehouse environment.
