An opportunity now exists for a Delivery Driver with a high attention to detail to join a family owned and operated livestock business based in the Brisbane Valley region near Esk, Queensland. Producing their own beef, lamb and goat Meat Products, this company is looking to expand their delivery of whole carcase and carton Meat Products throughout the region.
The Delivery Driver’s position is not only essential but ultimately the most important position contributing to the smooth ongoing operations of this progressive company. The Delivery Driver would be required to commence work between 2am & 3am reporting to the depot located in Esk. Carcase and carton products would be loaded into the truck ensuring all orders are packed safely and correctly. The delivery route is specific and is to be adhered to while maintaining strict time scheduling. Generally, an 8-hour shift would apply however overtime is also recognised.
Duties:
- To load, transport and deliver Meat Products to customers in a safe and timely manner while completing checklists and documentation in relation to the delivery including maintaining compliance with Safe Food Queensland’s regulations.
- To provide excellent customer service by reviewing orders before & after delivery.
- To adhere to assigned routes and time scheduling while following all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- To capably load the truck and be physically capable of safely lifting 20-30kg carcases onto the truck rails from the trolley.
- At the end of shift, ensure the truck has been cleaned in accordance with the business’ food safety plan.
- To reside locally within the Brisbane valley region & be able to commute to the depot for early morning starts.
- To hold a current, LR truck licence & be capable of operating an 8 tonne Pantech truck safely and without concern and possess a clean driving record.
- To recognise this position is working with Meat Products and to comply with all health and safety measures involved including being vaccinated for Q-Fever.
- To have a high attention to detail and practice strong time management and customer service skills at all times.
- To be physically capable of lifting between 20-30 kilogram loads safely and have the ability to walk, drive and lift heavy items for extended periods in refrigerated and freezer rooms.
- LR Truck Licence Required.
