MEAT WORKER
Full time, AUD70,000 + superannuation
Nyngan Fine Meats is a meat processing business that has been established by meat industry professionals with decades of experience and proven performance at the highest level.
This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.
The successful candidate must have:
· You will need to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years skilled experience in the meat industry and / or have obtained a minimum skill level of AQF Certificate III in meat processing.
· The right to work in Australia
Responsibilities include:
· Prepares carcasses for further processing by removing internal organs and hides, after slaughtering livestock, making them ready for consumption.
· Operating restrainer and stunning equipment.
· Severing jugular veins of stunned animals to drain blood and facilitate dressing.
· Slitting open, eviscerating, and trimming animal carcasses.
· Washing, scraping, and trimming foreign material and blood from meat.
· Cutting meat to separate meat, fat, and tissue from around bones.
· Trimming and removing head meat and severing animal heads.
· Cutting sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts, such as rumps, flanks, and shoulders, and removing internal fat, blood clots, bruises, and other matter to prepare them for packing and marketing.
· Operating switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables.
