We are currently seeking multiple roles, firstly an experienced meat boner with a strong background in boning lamb, beef products, particularly forequarters, and occasionally working with pork products. In addition to an experienced boner we are also seeking a skilled knife hand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for meat preparation, knowledge of various cuts and techniques, and a strong work ethic. Qualifications & Experience:
- Education in food preparation or proven experience in meat cutting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting heavy items.
- Willingness to work in cold environments.
- In-depth knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
- Proficiency in boning lamb ,beef products.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Skillfully bone lamb, beef products, with a focus on forequarters.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment to ensure their longevity and safety.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation controls, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.
- Efficiently package meat products, ensuring proper storage and presentation.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking and reporting stock levels.
- Follow standard operating procedures and guidelines for meat preparation and packaging.
- Help maintain a clean and organised workspace for an efficient workflow.
- Previous experience as a Knifehand, Boner, Slicer, or Slaughterer
- Proof of Q-fever vaccination or willing to receive Q-fever vaccination
