Form of workCJD Equipment is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated and talented Port Headland Team. This role has the flexibility to be either a FIFO OR RESIDENTIAL role, and you will spend your days working on brands such as VCE, SDLG, Cummins, Kenworth and DAF trucks and more!
About this role:
- RESIDENTIAL OR FIFO ROLE - Can be a FIFO roster or a standard 5/2 roster for local residents (for FIFO workers, accommodation will be supplied).
- Varied workdays - you will not always be in the workshop but on a mine site or attending a breakdown on a station or the side of the road.
- You will work on Construction and Mining Equipment, and from time work on Road Transport Trucks.
What you need to get the job done:
- Heavy focus on safety for yourself and your work mates
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- HR & HC as a minimum
- Available for overtime, some weekend work, callout / on call
- Must be able to meet customer Mine Site requirements
- Be able to work well within a team and remotely
- Have good computer and diagnostic skills and be able to fault find using a laptop
- Have an understanding of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol test
CJD vehicles are fitted with satellite tracking devices and individual distress beacons are provided for remote safety.
