About the role

We are looking for Mechanical Advisor to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance team based in the Greater Brockman region. You'll be responsible for the registered plant across the Greater Brockman region and you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all registered plant inspections, managing the inspection workload, maintaining the site registered plant register, and ensuring 100% compliance to all inspections.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will:

  • Responsible for ensuring all plant equipment is registered correctly (design registration and/or plant registration) with DMIRS/Worksafe before it's used in service, and raising ATOs when needed
  • Reviewing, updating and adjusting maintenance tactics in SAP
  • Liaising and coordinating with different departments such as Fixed Plant, Mobile Equipment Maintenance, Site Services, Fleet Delivery, Sustaining Capital and Project Delivery, to conduct inspections on their respective assets
  • Managing contract registered plant inspectors (incl. managing inspection schedule, providing Leadership in the Field, reviewing inspection reports, raising sub-notifications)
  • Ensure registered fixed plant inspectors are trained and competent as per WHS 2022 and RTIO guidelines
  • Weekly review on statutory work order compliance
  • Provide SME support with regards to registered plant assets such as cranes, pressure vessels, hoists and elevated working platforms
  • Generating quarterly registered plant status reports for management

What you'll bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade qualification is advantageous, but not essential
  • Previous experience in leading personnel is advantageous
  • A comprehensive understanding of SAP planning and master data experience is highly advantageous
  • Experience with pressure vessel inspection - AICIP or API vessel inspector qualifications is advantageous, but not essential
  • Experience with Crane inspection - Senior Crane Inspector <200T and CSWIP 3.1 is advantageous, but not essential
  • Ability to review, digest and understand Australian Standards and regulations
  • Strong computer literacy and experience in Microsoft's suite of applications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
