The company:
This local Newcastle Manufacturing company has been supporting the Australian Mining industry with its creative innovation and design of underground mining equipment. Having been in operation for over 40 years this well-established company has a large volume of work they need to get out the door.
The opportunity:
You as the Mechanical design draftsman, will work alongside a team of engineers and drafters in delivering concepts and designs that meet Australian standards but showing your creativity but also delivery in a cost effective and timely manner. You will come in and hit the ground running showing your experience using CAD software.

To be successful, you will need:
- 5+ years Mechanical design experience
- Proficient using Autodesk Inventor and Vault software.
- Background in manufacturing and/or mining industry.
- Strong communication skills written and verbal.
- Experience working with workshop floor
- Problem solving skills
