In this role, you will be responsible for delivering precise and timely investigation, design, and drafting services, grounded in essential engineering design principles. You will oversee a diverse array of design and drafting projects, including capital projects, maintenance work packs, operational enhancements, and process design. Your ability to manage multiple projects and ensure accuracy and efficiency will be crucial to our success.

Responsibilities
- Scope, Measure and Produce engineering drawings and documentation required for the general equipment installed across the entire Wilmar Sugar and Renewables business
- Ensure drafting activities are completed in accordance with statutory acts and regulations, business standards, and relevant industry codes of practice.
- Maintain an accurate drawing register
- Work to design deadlines and milestones on your associated projects in conjunction with the Drafting Coordinator and other key Stakeholders.
The Successful Candidate
We are seeking a proactive self-starter with a strong technical mindset, capable of working autonomously while adhering to deadlines and effectively prioritizing tasks. You will bring an aptitude for guiding and supporting others within a team environment, setting you apart from the crowd. Effective collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you'll engage with key stakeholders both internally and externally across our eight different mill operations, all while demonstrating a profound understanding of the design process. To excel as a Design Draftsperson, you must have prior experience in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment or hold relevant qualifications. Proficiency in computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor or Advance Steel and a solid understanding of Australian Standards and Codes of Practice are crucial.
