Roster: Monday to Friday
This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design a Hardware In a Loop (HIL) testing facility, meeting industry standards and regulations. You will be responsible for designing and developing the Mechanical systems using.
Key Responsibilities
- Detailed Engineering Design: Interpret detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and translate the information to 3D space.
- Integration: Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the overall design.
- Cost Management: Assist in cost estimation for components and systems, optimizing designs for cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Participate in the testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, identifying and resolving issues during prototype and production phases.
- CAD Proficiency: Utilise SolidWorks software proficiently for drafting, modelling, and creating 2D and 3D drawings.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all electrical & Mechanical Designs adhere to quality standards and are aligned with project objectives.
- Fabrication drawing experience, experienced in production environments, and a good knowledge of fabrication and machining.
Qualifications And Experience
- Mechanical engineering degree.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in design & drafting in 2D and 3D space.
- Exposure in designing at a concept level to quickly mock up designs, as well as full detailed design with full production and assembly detail.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX preferable, otherwise SolidWorks and AutoCAD for Mechanical Design.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Sound knowledge of Design for Manufacture & Design for Assembly.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to work autonomously.
