Job title: Mechanical Engineer

This is a contract position.
Are you ready to make a significant impact on critical digital systems for a large government client based in Adelaide? We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to play a pivotal role in enhancing the digital infrastructure of our client's IT division and spearheading future projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop integrated Creo 3D models of racks/enclosures for installation onto ships, including modeling individual equipment, integrating equipment into racks, and ensuring no issues such as physical clashes or cable bend radius.
- Select mechanical components such as equipment slides, cable arms, etc.
- Design custom PDU rack units.
- Create associated drawings, including Interface Control Drawings, manufacturing drawings, and maintenance analysis drawings.
- Conduct potential analyses related to cooling, shock/vibration, etc.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proficiency in developing integrated Creo 3D models.
- Experience in selecting mechanical components for racks/enclosures.
- Ability to design custom PDU rack units.
- Strong skills in creating various engineering drawings.
- Capability to conduct analysis related to cooling, shock/vibration, etc.
Selection Criteria
Please note that the successful candidate will need to be an Australia Citizen and hold a minimum of a Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance.
