About the role
Real Work with Real Outcomes – You will work on-site and alongside leading professionals in their field on a 2-year fixed-term Term Contract working full-time. During the term, you will participate in and attend development workshops to build your technical and soft skills. These include Lean Six Sigma (Manufacturing), Problem-solving and Decision Making, and Leadership Development.
Not your standard Junior Role
How do we ensure you get the ‘Real Work with Real Outcomes’ experience? You will:
• Be based at our Newcastle site in Mayfield, NSW
• Be teamed up with a Mentor (one of our Professional Engineers) for the term
As a Junior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:
• Get immersed into the process, apply the scientific principles and discover improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, sales and technical teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new processes and equipment.
• Develop and maintain process control systems and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient production.
• Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective actions for process deviations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards and environmental regulations, including waste management and pollution control measures, to minimise the environmental impact of processes.About your experience

To be eligible, you will have:
• Genuine interest in mechanical systems
• Full working rights in, and currently reside in, Australia
• A degree in either Mechanical Engineering (or be in the process of completing your degree) at an Australian University.
• In your final year of study or have graduated in the last two years
